The Application Bar is positioned at the top of the workboard and of the Necto Home page, and it contains the options that apply to the entire application.
The following paragraphs describe the options of the Application Bar.
Clicking your username opens the User Settings dialog box where you can edit your personal properties, your areas of interest, your friends and subscriptions to other users.

The Users
button hides and shows the Social Ribbon that displays your friends and the users who have visited the current workboard. Necto remembers your last selection and next time you open the workboard page the Social Ribbon is displayed or hidden accordingly.
The Save
button displays the following save options:

Saves the changes you have made to the current workboard. If you don’t have permission to save the workboard to the current location, the Save button will be disabled. |

Saves the current workboard, under the same or a different name, to the same or another location. Using the Save As option, you can save a public workboard as a private workboard. |

Generates a PDF document from the components of the workboard, which you can print according to settings you define in Workboard Properties. |
|
|
Allows you to send the current workboard to selected recipients by email. |
|
|
Saves the current workboard as an image. |
|
|
Adds the current workboard to your Favorites. Then, you can use Favorite Workboards on the Necto Home page to quickly access one of the workboards you have bookmarked. |
The Refresh
button refreshes the current workboard. Note that any changes you have made to the workboard will be lost.
The Topics
button opens the Workboard Topics dialog box where you can tag the current workboard with new or existing topics that best describe your content.
The Notifications
button on the Application Bar opens the Notifications Manager.
The New
button opens the New Workboard Wizard for creating a new workboard.
The Search box is used to quickly find workboards, discussions, or entities within the current workboard.

Type in the search text, click the Search Options
button to select the relevant option, and click the Start Search
button (or press Enter).

Conducts search within the grid dimensions displayed in the current workboard and in the Workboard Slicers Pane. |

Conducts search within the names and topics of the workboards you are allowed to see. |

Conducts search within discussion names and message texts, in the workboards you are allowed to see. |
Clicking
opens the Necto Control Panel for accessing the Data Sources, Models, Sets and Infographics options.
Clicking the Control Panel
button opens the Necto Control Panel for users with administrative credentials where they can define and manage users, roles, data sources, models, workboards, and system settings.
Click the Home
button to navigate to the Necto Home page. Clicking the button again returns you to where you last were in the workboard page.
The Private Session icon
appears on the Application Bar when you select the Start a Private Session option in your User Settings. In Private Session mode, other users cannot follow your work. Also, your operations in Necto workboards are not audited, meaning that they will not be used as inputs for Necto’s suggestive tools.
To exit the Private Session mode, click the icon again.
The Help
button opens a menu with help options.

Displays Necto’s current version and provides access to the More Information page, Panorama mail contact and Panorama’s company web site. The Debug button in this window opens the debug information window. You will use this option when requested by Panorama Support. |
