Workboard contents may consist of eight types of components:
The view component displays data from a data source in a grid or a chart. The view component is the only component type that presents data directly from a data source. Other component types can access data through the view component.
The chart component is connected to a view on the workboard and it charts the data from that view. It can be used to display charts with enhanced and appealing visual effects, such as 3D effects and gradient colors in backgrounds, chart areas and labels.
The navigation component enables you to define view-based parameters that help users change view contents by choosing a value from a control such as a dropdown list or a slider, as well as parameters that can be used for other purposes.
The text component can display formatted text that may also contain placeholders and hyperlinks to external information. It can be used to create a workboard title with the company name.
The image component can display an image from your local computer or from a remote URL address. It can be used to display the company logo, product images, and more.
The web component displays an external web page. This is the best way to incorporate data from external providers into the workboard.
The HTML component serves to add advanced HTML elements to your workboard, using Necto’s APIs or any HTML code. It is a powerful component for adding functionality to the workboard.
The Reporting Services component displays a report created in the Reporting Services platform.
The infographics component presents data from a data source via predesigned infographics entities. Infographics are visual representations of data that convey information quickly and effectively using graphic elements, text and animation.
The map component visualizes view data on a map.
