Image Properties

From the dropdown list at the top of the Properties Pane, select the image object whose properties you want to define.

Image

In the Image property, click on the value column and then click  to open the image library window.

Expand the folder you want, click on an image, and click OK.

You can use the Data Link  option to define a rule or a custom formula (MDX) that will return an image display.

Indicators

The properties under this category contain definitions regarding the values that the image will represent.

In the following example, the images represent several HR metrics as percentage values.

Minimum

Set the lower limit of the possible range of values. Or, use the Data Link  option.

Maximum

Set the upper limit of the possible range of values. Or, use the Data Link  option.

Fill Colors

The fill colors that will indicate the specified or calculated values. Click on Select Colors… In the dialog box that opens, define the values and the corresponding colors.

Click on the Value column and enter a value. If this is a percentage, select the check box.

You can use the Data Link  option to define a rule or an MDX statement that will set the value.

In Fill Color, select a color from the palette or use the Data Link  option.

In the following example, the image is filled with blue to indicate the actual utilization percentage of vacation days.

Use Absolute Values

To use absolute values, set this property to Yes. For example, if a returned value is -20, the represented value will be 20.

Direction

Select the direction of the color fill.

Base Color

Select the base color of the indicators.

Geometry

X, Y

The position of the image.

Width, Height

The width and height of the image.

Rotation

If the image should be rotated, specify the value of rotation in degrees.

Alignment

Vertical Alignment

The vertical justification of the image: top, middle or bottom.

Horizontal Alignment

The horizontal justification of the image: left, center or right.

Scale Proportionally

Set to Yes for proportional scaling.

Actions

The image object has the same properties under the Actions category as the Text object.
