Task Pane

A task pane is a multipurpose window pane that appears on the left side of the Workboard page, and it houses features that enable you to perform such tasks as, managing workboards, managing discussions, slicing view data and customizing the work environment. The task panes that you can open in this area are: Workboard Pane, Discussions Pane, Slicers Pane, Properties Pane and the Scrapbook Pane. For example, clicking Explore  on the Workboard tab of the ribbon opens the Workboard Pane.

When unpinned, the task pane overlays some of the contents on the workboard. You can pin the task pane using the pushpin ( when pinned) on the pane toolbar, in order to push the contents and make room for the pane and the components.

Click  to close the task pane.

You can resize the task pane by dragging its right boundary until the pane is the correct size.
