WORKING WITH DATA SOURCES

A data source is created to store the information needed to connect to a database and fetch the required data from it.

Necto enables connectivity to several types of data sources: Relational databases (MS SQL, Oracle), flat files (CSV, XLS, XLSX), MSAS cubes, and business reporting tools such as MS Reporting Services.

Data sources are organized in a tree structure (like files and folders). You can place them in the public folder, available for all, or in a private folder for personal use.

To work with data sources, click Data Sources  on the Management page ribbon.
