Overview

Necto lets you focus on relevant information by generating automatic recommendations based on user inputs geared for this purpose and users’ behavior. Necto learns and understands users’ behavior by exploring user actions such as visiting workboards, engaging in discussions, and performing data analysis.

Inputs

Necto uses the following inputs and measurements to identify noteworthy data points and produce relevancies and recommendations that are specific to individual user tastes:

·         Workboard topics: keywords used to tag a workboard and describe its contents. The creator of a workboard as well as other users who have appropriate permissions to that workboard can define topics.

·         User topics: keywords that represent a user’s personal areas of interest. These are not workboard-specific topics.

·         The number of Likes in a workboard.

·         Auditing of user actions such as loading and saving workboards, participating in discussions, slicing, and other analytics operations.

Suggestive tools

Necto processes the inputs by matching between user topics and workboard topics, and by evaluating workboard usage and popularity based on audit data and “likes”. It delivers the automatically generated relevancies via the following suggestive tools:

·         My Relevant Workboards: In the Home page, Necto shows the workboards that are most relevant for your work, and that you are allowed to access.

·         Necto Advisor: The Advisor recommends similar workboards and other relevant workboards visited by the users who used a workboard.

·         Workboard search results: When you search for a workboard, Necto returns the most relevant results, based on the search string but also on relevancy calculations.
