Panorama Software Unveils Proactive Business Intelligence Product Roadmap
Customer-focused Solutions Demonstrate Company’s Vision for Next Generation BI Solutions
Toronto, Ontario – June 20, 2007 – Panorama Software, a global leader in Proactive Business Intelligence (PBI) solutions, today outlined its PBI product roadmap that will enable customers to better manage their business by enabling them to focus on the relevant, take structured actions and automate routine business processes. After introducing the vision of PBI earlier this year, Panorama is now bringing to market new PBI-centric solutions and platform.
"At Panorama, the next generation of business intelligence is here and today’s announcement demonstrates our commitment and leadership in building and releasing products that are innovative, different and 100 percent aligned with our goal of helping companies to better manage their business and improve their results," said Eynav Azarya, CEO, Panorama Software. “PBI represents a long-term vision and strategy that we believe will change how companies leverage and use information to make decisions and to drive key business processes.”
PBI consists of three value pillars – focusing on what is most relevant to the business; taking structured actions; and automating routine business processes. The new forthcoming products from Panorama Software will fulfill each of these value pillars. To help information workers focus on what is most relevant to them, Panorama will introduce a new solution that will make insights, key metrics and key performance indicators readily available in smart ways without the need for complex BI tools. Pervasive in nature, this newest product, due for release in July 2007, will allow users to embed BI into existing productivity applications such as Microsoft Outlook and Office.
To help decision makers take structured actions and automate routine business processes, Panorama will release a new version of its middle-tier application server, NovaView Server, codenamed "Sycamore", which will bring together business intelligence with business processes and workflow engines. Sycamore will enable users to take action and launch context sensitive processes directly within a report, dashboard or scorecard.
Panorama recently demonstrated its objective to integrate BI and BPM and enable NovaView Server to become a platform for any BPM application to tie into by joining the Pega Exchange from Pegasystems Inc., the industry leader in BPM. In addition to supporting BPM applications, Sycamore will also support multiple OLAP platforms beyond the two platforms Panorama currently supports today – Microsoft SQL Server Analysis Services and SAP NetWeaver BI.
"After years of research, development and strategy to build PBI solutions, we are now putting all the puzzle pieces in place to execute our three pillars of PBI," said Kobi Averbuch, VP Research and Development, Panorama Software. "Leveraging our first PBI-focused solution and cross platform capabilities will enable customers realize tangible benefits from PBI. In addition, we have built relationships with world-class BPM providers that will enable customers to automate routine business and operational processes. We’re proud to roll out our roadmap and are confident that many enterprises will be able to better manage their business with our PBI offerings."
